I have been waiting for days for you to come and hold my hand;
I always remember your name if they tie my tongue;
You are the sun that fills the bright heart in my soul.
You are not a dream, you are an eternal reality;
Your looks are meaningful, you are a flower that blooms in me;
I am content with every whim, you are the angel in my heart;
You are the sun that fills the bright heart in my soul.

Ahmet Sedat Mete
Ahmet Sedat Mete was born in Bafra in 1954. He graduated from Ankara Gazi Education Institute [Gazi Eฤitim Enstitรผsรผย (literally: Gazi Institute for Education)] Music Department. He worked as a music teacher in MEB schools for 13 years. In 1991, he was appointed as a violist to Samsun State Classical Turkish Music Choir. He retired in 2019. He has more than 200 compositions in the form of songs and instrumental pieces on his credit, 20 of which are in the TRT repertoire. He has received many honorable mentions and prestigious awards in composition competitions held in Turkey.
