Literary Journal of translations
of un/underrepresented & marginalizedย languages
ย ย
the LINGO LEXICONย has been founded ONLINE with the vision of a magazine for the publication of translations of pieces of fiction and poetry of deprived languages โ the languages whose literatureย affluent with rich native knowledge & wisdom has either been never translated or much less translated and the same is hidden yet from the eyes of the world.ย
Unlock the door to worlds unknown,
Where imagination weaves tales yet unshown;
ย
We aim to solve the problems of partiality, conservatism with their choices and visibility not only for the South Asian languages but also for all such ignored, un/unrepresented and marginalized and deprived languages of the world. The list is very long. It includes: Urdu, Hindi, Persian, Bengali (Bangla), Nepali, Mandarin Chinese, Thai, Korean, Malay, South Asian Languages (Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pushto, Blochi, Saraiki, Kashmiri, Brahvi, Marathi, Tamil, Telgu, Malyalam, etc.), Languages of the Asian states which got freedom from Russia (Uzbek, Kazak, Azerbiajani, Tajik, etc.), African languages (Creole, Wolof, Lugand, Twi and Ewe etc.), etc. etc.ย
As its name suggests,ย the LINGO LEXICONย aims to select the โgoldโ โ the native knowledge and wisdom โ in the translated literary work of the world neglected languages. We are dedicated to supporting the best translations and emerging translators of these languages beyond accepting their work. The un/underrepresented voices are cordially welcome to find a home for their work here. We pride ourselves for having an editorial board that is kind, constructive and encouraging in their communication process with submitters. We expect editors to reply supportively. Although we aim to be selective in choosing works,ย the LINGO LEXICONย strives to be a platform โ not a barrier โ for artists.ย the LINGO LEXICONย has been established to serve as a standard of excellence, presenting the best translations of the marginalized languages of the world.
As in the beginning, our deepest commitment is to finding and exploring new avenues, and fostering new wisdom of the ignored and deprived languages. We will publish ONLINE the fiction & poetry of languages and writers & poets you may not have heard of, who will go on to win awards of the next generation. With its emphasis on fine writing and original thoughtย the LINGO LEXICONย will provide its readers with unique perspectives. We hope that the fiction, poetry and essays of distinguished names of their national/native/mother languages will open new avenues and will put its positive impact on the world literature.
If your manuscript needs another eye,ย the LINGO LEXICONโsย Reading Serviceย ย will help you.
