Painter of Love
— POEM by
Rónja Broich
___________
I carry you in my heart and mind;
Painter, who put colors on my soul;
You tattooed your love gently;
With masterful hands of an artist.
And, you planted the seeds of love in me;
Which bloomed in spring;
Under the glare of your gaze;
They were spoiled for the thousandth time.
Also, you made a home out of the garden;
With sweet moments full of caress;
And our love blossomed;
On the silver autumn’s horizon.
As the light of love holds us together;
At its chest on the new path;
So, we will not let it fade away again;
Or turn into ashes.
Although the distance separates us;
But love is too alive for us;
Since, you are a star to me, the light in the night;
So, you shine like a torch to me.
I am the woman from afar;
That I gave you my heart as a gift;
To cherish the special love;
That I sacrificed to you on the altar!
You are the artist that you knew;
To paint me like in a magazine;
You are, no you are not unknown to me;
I am your, my poet artist!
