In A Cry of Love
— POEM by
Rónja Broich
___________
Today I look for the serenity and silence in your eyes again;
That touched my soul, sweetly, with shivers;
And, since then only longing and pain have remained to me;
And, in the vase your bouquet of flowers died!
I look for you in the dawn that your eyes carry;
And, in the dreams of the night, when the moon is full;
So, I feel my body trembling and my soul burning;
Cut the moon into slices and share its light!
I don’t want to call you anymore in the thought of eremite;
Which has become dark from so much searching;
And, I write you better in my soul like a poem;
With the longing and the hope that gives me comfort!
And, I direct my steps with purpose and love;
Even if my sky is darkened by a cloud;
I know that I will find you not just as a memory;
But as a destiny that is not accidental!
And if I find you, you hold me in your arms;
And hug me to your chest with flames and ardor;
I will give you the kiss that will spoil you;
May you remain my great love for life!
