I’m lost

Through the branches of loneliness

And I feed

On the marrow of silence;

I wallow

In the dance of chess pieces

That play my fate.

I watch inert

As the albatrosses of hope

Are sucking the tears of patience

From the weary body

Of time.

I put a hood on dreams

And hold them in check,

So they don’t drink

From foreign springs

That flow enticingly,

Accompanying the meanders of life

That make their way

To nowhere.

In the limbo of uncertainty

Meaningless syllables break,

Spiced with the glimmer of peaks,

Hymns numb with waiting.

I kneel

On the carpet of the blinks

And burn my silences,

Sipping from the fountains of thoughts,

Drained of illusions.

….
