The Princess of Fire

— FLASH FICTION by Elisa Mascia

(Translated from Italian)

Her name is Protea, flowers of fire.

She received the promise from her father King Phoenix to inherit fire, to heat homes and cook food.

She has within herself destruction and environmental catastrophes but she is a generator of energy and rebirth from the same ashes to give rise to positivity and resilience, fueling the flame that illuminates humanity.

Protea, the princess asks her father King Phoenix of the city of Phoenix the meaning of such a poor inheritance. He replies that she must never believe appearances.

The name itself is the highest imagination of “flamboyant” fire flowers that fascinates with its exotic appearance just like her.

Protea thanks for being the bearer of mystical aromas and exclusive feelings that she wants to give to anyone who needs them.

Fenix, happy with the gratitude and joy expressed by his daughter, says that he can use the fire of spiritual energy that gives rise to love, the driving force of the Universe, with the power to spread and produce essential values such as peace, freedom, charity.

The Princess promises to always keep the fire of spirituality alight as a gift to give to anyone to be an example in erecting the lamp of life fueled by passions and emotions.

King Fenix hugs the princess and from their warm embrace the love of father and daughter is renewed, an example for every family that, like Protea and Fenix, continues forever in eternity, to burn the fire of spirituality sowing essential values to humanity and the Universe.
