My Paranormal Experiences

— FLASH FICTION by

Negyar Nurulla Khalilova

___________

I woke up because someone was breathing very loudly nearby. I opened my eyes and turned head to see the sleeping husband as always. Much to my surprise, my husband was not in the bed. So, I held my breath and listened. No, it was not my own breath — it was not in tune with the inhale and exhale. In an instant, a cold sweat swept over me from suppressed fear.

It was an early morning hour. The bedroom window looked out onto the street. The noise of cars, opening movement, now and then gave in the ears. I smiled, reassured that I just thought: What nonsense!

It was as if, in denial of my thoughts, an invisible nearby being began to breathe louder as the noise of the engine of the next car approached.

Instantly, I got up and jumped out of the bedroom. My husband was humming something while making breakfast in the kitchen.

“Did you have a nightmare?” he asked, noticing my excitement.

I don’t know why, but I decided not to tell him anything.

Every night a strange creature lay between our heads, without changing the place and continuing to breathe, imitating the breathing of a person. Later, I began to hear the breath in my ears almost all the time when I was at home. I even waved away from it, like an annoying fly.  No, I did not go mad, I calmed. In the end, I am a professional doctor!  In the hospital this did not happened to me, oddly enough.

Furthermore, a restless creature began to wake me up with a loud sneeze in the morning instead of an alarm clock. Then it mourned like a kitten, suddenly breaking silence.

But, I steadfastly held on; my husband continued noticing anything, although once an unknown creature sneezed rather gratingly when husband was in his favorite kitchen. He was stunned and I kept assuring him all day that I sneezed, who else could be, because there was no third one except both of us at home. To be honest, I was afraid that my husband might get scared. Men are also subject to fear, isn’t it?

Then, I began to dig in the internet and read all that is around this phenomenon.  And, stumbled upon a lecture by David Ayk, the world turned around me. This time I really went crazy! We are not alone on the planet, and we need to get used to it. Ants ran over the skin at the thought that our uninvited alien watches us and I tried to hide when I changed clothes, locking the door.

The creature laughed at me and began to spoil our relationship with my husband. Although I do not want to powder your brains, but I was not laughing at all that time. Consequently, my loving tender husband turned to me into a stranger, as if the devil had moved in him. Now, I was afraid of him. Also, our relationship was deadlocked.

And on a dysfunctional day my dear husband without thinking twice left me in a foreign country, where women had limited rights; they were not allowed to walk on the street alone, but only accompanied by a husband, brother or father. Thus, I worked there and had to go to work daily until the end of the contract.

I hired a driver, but the consciousness of my forced solitude with a strange creature poisoned my life.

I was under stress, coming back from my late duty at midnight and unlocking the door of my rented flat. So, two months I spent in hell of my fear. Each night the creature in its unchanged place was breathing nearby. Then I started to get used to my position and even tried to talk to it, but it didn’t talk.

But the creature didn’t leave me. Resultantly, I decided to seek an advice from a psychic. Following the recommendations of the psychic by phone, in the end of my story I paid around seven thousand dollars amount and earned type 2 diabetes.

For a while, the creature didn’t make itself felt. Then again it occasionally appeared touching my right ear in a gentle breeze. Therefore, I decided for myself not to renew the contract and to return my motherland forever. But circumstances changed again in an unexpected direction.

Verily, the ways of God are inscrutable!

At the very last moment, when I — in a despair and abandoning the annoying psychic — packed up my suitcases, my husband wrote to me that he was beguiled by a devil and he did not want a divorce.

He returned to me back. As I told him everything that I experienced and we moved to another safe apartment.
