ADVICE
— FLASH FICTION by Juman Ahmedani
(Translated from Urdu by Abdul Ghani)
“Have it!”
“Why do I need it?”
“What an eccentric person you are! I am giving you a very precious thing. And you aren’t going to possess it.”
“But this is the lie.”
“That’s why I’m asking you to keep it.”
“But what will I do with the lie?”
“You know, people clandestine it in the rims of their eye sockets and hide inside their hearts. It rises and sets the Sun of power of the enthroned. Now it is being marketed from social media to the bookstores.”
“But, I am looking for the truth.”
“Then I have a piece of advice for you.”
“What is it?”
“Go to the Fountain House.”
