Abedi Mirielle, a Congolese younger poet, was born 18th September 2006 in Uvira, Congo. Currently, she has been residing in Dzaleka refugee camp in Malawi as a refugee. She is still schooling from Dzaleka Community Day Secondary School, Dowa. She loves reading and writing poems both in her mother tongue Kiswahili and English. She is a poetess from African Youth Artistic Poetry (AYAP) group. She expresses her deep feelings in her verses.
Every moment we sing a song,
That isn’t composed.
But a song that’s full of mourning,
A mourning that has a flow of moans.
