A Lonely Heart

Every night I describe the sky
with my boat.
A nightmare overtakes me when I canโt find you anywhere.
Maybe from the torrential rain
you have hid in some shelter, that I donโt know.
Maybe you are hidden under my skin
and there you live without leaving a trace.
Tell the rain to wait,
And I will come to
hold an umbrella for you,
for every space of your body.
The wind whispers to me lonely,
Makes a laborious walk
in the rainstorm.
My tears in the dark cry
and maybe my boat will drown,
Looking for a love
that time will never return.
So I will row forever through the sky with my boat.

Sherife Allko
Born in December 1964 in Librazhd and lives in Tirana, Albania Sherife Allko completed her higher education. Faculty of Economics! She began writing as a child, trusting her feelings. Rivers of words came to her freely.
Work:
Sherife Allko started with small poems and then with essays and short stories. She grew up with a desire to write everything that passed through her heart. But only in 2022 did she have the courage to publish her first book โLoveโs Buds Openโ and then two other editions of her books followed, titled โWith the Eyes of the Soulโ and โDreams of Lonelinessโ.
Other books are waiting to be published. Her works have been published in several literary anthologies at home and abroad.
Awards:
Sherife Allko is the winner of several awards appreciated by high-ranking critics, leaders and renowned writers. One of these is: The โRABINDRANATH TAGORE MEMORIAL HONORS 2022โ Award, organized by Motivational Strips with the joint association of the Department of Culture, the Government of Seychelles and the SIPAY Journal.
