Ahmet Sedat Mete was born in Bafra in 1954. He graduated from Ankara Gazi Education Institute [Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü (literally: Gazi Institute for Education)] Music Department. He worked as a music teacher in MEB schools for 13 years. In 1991, he was appointed as a violist to Samsun State Classical Turkish Music Choir. He retired in 2019. He has more than 200 compositions in the form of songs and instrumental pieces on his credit, 20 of which are in the TRT repertoire. He has received many honorable mentions and prestigious awards in composition competitions held in Turkey.
My aim is not to hurt anyone;
The river never flows upwards;
The endless increases do not know to stop;
A burden to the state, a strange retiree.
