Ming-Keh Chen was born in 1956 in Taiwan. He received a PhD in physics in 1986. In 1987, he became a member of the Li Poetry Society. His publications includes twelve collections of poems, and two collected short stories in Mandarin, and three bilingual selection of poems, “In Dock”, “ Tú eres todas las flores de cala”, “Poems With Sunshine”. Ming-Keh Chen’s poems have been translated to English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Romanian and French. His poems have both lyrical and narrative styles. He was awarded Night Prizes of Literature in Taiwan. He explored the meaning of life. Metaphors are, frequently expressed in his poems, a strong attribute of his poetry.
In a newly built,
Crescent gate, made of bricks,
